Frequently asked questions

Which residence ground applies to me?
It depends on your role and plans: whether you are a founder or shareholder of a Moldovan company, its director or an investor, and on the conditions the law sets for each case. At the initial assessment, we review your situation and tell you which option fits and what you will need to show.
What documents do I need?
Usually: a valid passport, documents on your company or investment, proof of accommodation in Moldova, health insurance and a criminal record certificate from your country. Foreign documents generally need an apostille or legalisation and a translation into Romanian. We give you an exact list after reviewing your case.
How long does it take to get a residence permit?
It depends on the legal ground, on how quickly your documents are ready and on the authority's review. Depending on your nationality, you may also need a visa before applying. After reviewing your situation, we give you a realistic timeline.
How much does your assistance cost?
Our fee depends on the legal ground, the number of family members and whether a company needs to be set up first. We set it after the initial assessment and agree it in writing before we start. State fees are separate, and we tell you about them in advance.
How is a residence permit renewed?
A residence permit is issued for a limited period and must be extended before it expires, provided the conditions are still met. We keep track of the dates, tell you in good time what needs to be updated and prepare the extension file.
Can we start while I am still abroad?
Yes. We can review your situation online, in English, Romanian or Russian, and prepare most documents while you are abroad, including setting up a company by power of attorney if needed. For some steps, such as filing the application, you will usually need to be in Moldova in person.
